~*Happy Shopping*~

The printer which i bought - The Epson Stylus DX7450

Today is a shopping spree day for me...bought many things today. Firstly, i bought a new printer which costs me 49.99 pounds. It was on sale, so i immediately grabbed this opportunity to get one since i am in desperate need of a printer due to the coming courseworks which requires me to print lots and lots of stuffs. The original price for this all-in-one printer with individual ink cartridges is 79.99 pounds...that means i save a whopping 30 pounds. Secondly, i finally puchased a new mobile phone which is the Nokia N95 with 8 GB of memory in it. I bought it via the internet on a pay monthly contract from '3 Mobile' and i will receive it this coming tuesday...will post the picture of my new baby once i get hold of it. I can see many students having this mobile phone since it's one of the hottest designs available at this moment along with the Sony Ericsson K850i, Samsung G600 and not forgetting the new LG KU990 Viewty (all of this mobile phones has amazing 5 MegaPixels camera). Initially, i planned to buy the Sony Ericsson K850i but after reading many bad comments & reviews about it, i decided to opt for the Nokia N95 8GB...i just can't wait till i receive it!! ;);)

Thirdly, i bought many new clothes since the end of winter sale has arrived. The past season clothes has huge discounts because the clothes outlets are trying to get rid of them. For me, i personally don't care whether the clothes are already off-season or not...as long as they are cheap & nice, i will normally just buy it. Alltogether, i bought two pairs of jeans, two pairs of denim bermudas, 3 short pants and 5 t-shirts...that's a lot!! Well, i can't stop my urge to shop around for new attire. Gosh, my i already have so many clothes in my wardrobe...i wonder how am i going to take all of it back to Malaysia end of this year??? Lastly, i bought my groceries food from the supermarket because all my foodstuffs in the refridgerator has already finished since last weekend...yes, you could imagine what i ate this whole week since there's nothing left for me in the fridge. I basically skipped lunch and only ate dinner throughout this entire week. Sometimes i would only have bread with blackcurrant or strawberry jam and hazelnut chocolate spread and sometimes, i have to bear eating noodles which tastes horrible. Clearly, i have been so busy until i have no time to go to the city centre to buy my foodstuffs till today. Besides that, i can't buy lots of food items too because i am carrying my printer and clothes with me at the same time. I guess i will be heading to the city centre once more tomorrow to get more foodstuffs and also to have buffet lunch in Chinatown with my housemate...hey, i gotta treat myself to a delicious meal once in a while instead of cooking everyday, right?
By the way, i am so loving the new music video by Jesse McCartney titled Leavin'...it's currently one of my favourite song right now. Jesse McCartney is so damn hot in this music video...wish he could show more of his body though...SMOKIN' HOT!!!

Anyway, i don't think i will be heading back to Malaysia anytime soon after my graduation in July. I am planning to find a decent job and work here temporarily to earn some money before going back to Malaysia. It means that i have got to change my airticket which is scheduled for me to return back home somewhere in the middle of July to some other dates, probably in December or January. However, this matter is still not conclusive...i could change my mind after i graduated. So, as of now, i am planning to stay here for quite some time although i really really miss Malaysia a lot!! Ok, i guess i should stop blogging for now, wanna sleep early because i am so damn tired from all the shopping i had done today. Goodnitez...

P.S. Thanks Jimmy for helping to take my new spectacles...really appreciate it!! Can't wait to see you soon...;);)

~*Election Fever*~

I have never intended to write anything about the election fever currently in Malaysia but i couldn't help it...i have to express what i felt at this moment. I am not someone who is interested in politics because of all the corruptions revolving around politicians especially under the reign of Barisan Nasional. No doubt that Barisan is still going to win this election and the election to come, but this time, they have suffered a tremendous setback. They no longer have the two-third majority in the government compared to the previous election in 2004. The opposition parties has managed to captured 5 states in Malaysia and that's including the beloved Penang, of course. Although to many people's delight, Barisan Nasional has finally been deprived of its virtually absolute power of such a long time in Malaysian election history but i seriously doubt whether we should really celebrate the victory of the opposition. Is it supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing considering that the combined opposition party DAP-PKR-PAS has won over the state of Penang? Clearly, the winner of the opposition party is DAP who has won all 19 state seats it contested in Penang with PKR winning six and Pas two. Since the combined opposition has won at least 24 seats out of the 40 seats in the election, they will now be able to form their own state government. DAP's secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is believed to be the next chief minister of Penang.

The opposition has promised us all sorts of things including a brighter future and more development in Penang but whether they will keep up to their words or not depends on time. Only time can tell whether they have kept their promises. For the 1st time in history, the opposition has taken over Penang, the last being when Gerakan (back then an opposition party) won Penang almost 40 years ago. The Barisan Nasional party of course was shocked by the news that they have lost Penang to the opposition parties. I kept asking myself...are the oppositions really more calibre and effective to lead the country forward and promise all Malaysians a better future??? I'm doubtful whether our celebration of opposition's victory is a little too premature...i see many people celebrating the victory of the opposition without knowing whether they will transform their state for the better or worse. Fingers crossed, surely everyone hope that the opposition will bring us to greater heights and make Penang more well-known around the world but honestly, who knows what the future holds for our state and also our country. Comparing our situation with the UK's election in 1997 when the labour party won over the conservative party...i can see that British people actually trusted there to be a better future with the labour party as the manifesto given by the labour were certainly more appealing than those given by the conservative...People wanted the entrenchment of human rights and better transparency in the judiciary. That is the reason why they had voted for a government that promised them that and not surprisingly fulfilled all the promises made. However, we Malaysians are left with a changing to a government which we don't even know whether will they achieve the goals we want such as equal opportunity and more freedom of speech and human rights. Once again, only time will tell...we gotta wait for quite some time before eventually knowing the end results. If they have kept their promises, then of course, all the citizens will vote for them again in the next election and vice-versa.

Ahhh, enough about the election thingy, as for now i better concentrate on other better stuffs to do such as revising for my finals exam. This few days has been pretty hectic for me...so much things to do and so little time to complete it. Winter has finally come to an end and spring is here...woohoo!!! Although it's already spring, it's still so damn cold here in UK...the temperature outside right now is 6 degrees Celsius...though it feels much more colder than stated. That's all for now, will update my blog again soon. Ta-ta...;);)

~*Childhood Memories*~

I had another strange dream last night...i dreamt of my primary school teacher who has taught me since Standard 1 to Standard 6 and her name is none other than Mrs. Giam. She practically taught me Pendidikan Seni when i was in Standard 1 and she was also my form teacher when i was in Standard 6 teaching my class and of course myself, Bahasa Malaysia. Oh yeah, besides that, i went to her tuition classes from Standard 1 to Standard 6 as well. I really miss the sweet childhood moments i had back then...those unforgettable memories will remain in my head forever. Sometimes, i really blamed myself for not going back to my primary alma mater to visit my favourite teachers such as Mrs. Giam, Ms. Soon, Mrs. Gooi, Mr. Suresh & also Ms. Tan Ai Li...arrghh, i miss all of them so much. I guess only those of you who are from St. Xavier's La Salle will know who i am talking about. I really regretted that i didn't take the iniative to go back to my primary school to visit them. I had planned to visit my primary school & secondary school once i return back home to Malaysia somewhere end of this year. I wish they will still be there...i gotta buy some goodies during my visit. ;);) One of the best years of my life has gotta be when i was way back in Standard 6. Well, since i am Mrs. Giam's pet, i was promoted to be a class monitor immediately after she has sacked Loh Fu Men (i guess all of you still remember him, right?). I still remember i was going round the classroom to return the books to my classmates when she sacks Fu Men in front of the whole class...of course i was stunned & shocked by this but at the same time, i am really happy since i was promoted to be a class monitor. I have been a class monitor twice, once in Standard 4 & once more as i had mentioned earlier, in Standard 6. When i as in Standard 4, i was Ms. Soon's pet...as usual i managed to suck up to her...but this time, my promotion to be a class monitor of class 4M was by the votes of my classmates, not by me sucking up. My best mates back then was Koay Shi Shen & Mohd. Daniel. I guess the only persons who can remember Mohd. Daniel is Yong Ming. Well, Mohd. Daniel was sitting beside me when we were in Form 1. Shortly after he left school (i forgotten the reason), Yong Ming came to sit next to me and we ended up fighting nearly everyday from that moment onwards. For those of who are in the same class as me during Form 1, (which is Ivan Teh, Chooi Hoe, Wei Loon & of course, Yong Ming himself) could any of you remember the time when Brother Paul needs to separate us because of our feud with each other??? Those childish moments makes me wanna laugh thinking back of it...i really miss those moments. Of course, i miss my life when i was in Form 4 & Form 5 too...miss Mrs. Lim Lee Eng & also Mrs. Helena Cheah...hmmm, i wondered what happen to her now?
Ok ok, i guess i should stop crapping for now...wanna sleep early dee. Shall blog again when i have the free time. Until then, take care...with lots of love from me. ;);)
