~*American Idol Mania AGAIN*~

As expected, David Archuleta was once again the clear leader among the men and of course, the ladies, on this week's American Idol Season 7. As Simon Cowell said after the teenager's performance, "he's the one to beat". Though it's early, Archuleta already has the judges raving and the girls (not forgetting the guys too) in the audience squealing. His rendition or should i said performance of John Lennon's "Imagine" was stunning...omigosh, this young men can really sing very well. My heart melts each time i hear him singing...i am so madly in love with him...he's so MINE (i am not sharing him with anyone else)!! =) =) Besides David, Michael Johns performance was actually quite impressive too...but of course, David Archuleta outshines him and everyone else in the whole competition. As for the female finalists, i still think the best has gotta be Ramiele Malubay or also known by her nickname as "Lullaby". Don't blame her vocals for her average performance this week, blamed the song choice as all the judges thinks so. Anyway, she's still second on my list of favourite finalists on American Idol Season 7...after the one and only David Archuleta, of course. That's all for now, i wanna sleep early because i have morning class tomorrow. Until then, take care & see ya...
P.S. It's not wrong being slutty once in a while, right?

~*I Miss Malaysian Cuisine*~

I am already starting to miss Malaysian food although i've only been back in UK about one and the half month ago. I am so sick and tired of eating pasta, pizza, bread, coleslaw, pudding, pies and other types of western food for lunch & dinner. The only place where i could eat proper good meal is at the Chinese buffet restaurant, but hey, i wanna eat Malaysian food...not Chinese food!! There's no Malaysian restaurant here in Newcastle and i gotta travel all the way to London if i wanna have some Malaysian food. Hmmm, i wonder if there's any Malaysian food outlet which is nearer to Newcastle compared to London such as Manchester or Edinburgh. Someone please help me!! I am really craving for all the delicious food as shown below...can someone please send the food to me by FedEx???

~*American Idol Mania*~

~*David Archuleta - Simply adorable*~

~*Ramiele Malubay - Simply fantastic*~

American Idol has gotta be my favourite reality television show ever...hey, i am an extremely huge fan of American Idol. My favourite seasons of American Idol are Season 4 (where Carrie Underwood won the show) & Season 6 (where the amazing and talented Jordin Sparks won the show). I've rooted for Jordin to win the competition eversince she managed to go into the Top 12 Performances of that show. Anyway, i am so frustrated that i can't watch American Idol Season 7 on telly...the reason being my accommodation office does not provide a television right here in our flat. Even if i were to buy a television and placed it in my room, i am not sure whether the UK television broadcasts channels even show American Idol on air...especially since here X-Factor is hotter compared with American Idol. But hey, don't get me wrong...it doesn't mean that i am completely ignorant of what is going on with Season 7 of American Idol because i am still able to watch the performances on YouTube and several other music blogs.

My favourite contestant by far is David Archuleta...omigowd, he has such a cute baby face and his voice sounds amazing (by the way, he's just only 17 years old). I just simply love his performances (including himself too) on American Idol. I wish he could eventually become the winner of this season's American Idol because I ADORE HIM SO SO MUCHHHHHHH!! ;);). As for the girls, i am rooting for Ramiele Malubay...the only asian girl (from the Phillippines but currently resides in the United States) in this season's American Idol. She has a really good voice too...and an asian has got to win this competition for once. But anyway, i still want David Archuleta to win...i am so obsessed with him at this moment and i am pretty sure the whole America is also lusting over this young boy. You can watch the Top 12 Male Performances of David and the Top 12 Female Performances of Ramiele below...enjoy!!!

~*Those Were The Days*~

I had a strange dream a couple of weeks back...i dreamt that i started playing Magic cards once again after stopping for a very very long time. The main reason i stopped playing Magic cards and others, such as Pokémon cards & Harry Potter cards was because of several reasons. Firstly, time is too precious to be wasted on such things. Secondly, lesser people are interested in such games anymore and thirdly, it's too expensive to keep on buying such collectible card games. I still remembered the 1st type of collectible card game which got me so addicted has got to be none other than "Pokémon Trading Card Game". During back then, such card games were so so hot...as in many people were interested in such kind of things and that of course, included myself. I couldn't remember how much money i have spent on Pokémon cards but as far as i can remember, it's damn a lot!!! After my obsession with Pokémon cards has eventually wore off, suddenly there comes Harry Potter Trading Card Game which got me so hooked on. Luckily, my interest with Harry Potter card didn't sustained long enough. Then my obsession jumped towards Magic: The Gathering collectible card game. Well, i guess the amount of time & money i spent on Magic cards were almost the same as Pokémon cards. After playing all the three aforementioned card games, i finally decided to quit playing such kind of games due to the reasons which are stated at the beginning of this post.

However, a few days ago as i was doing some online shopping, i came across the section where they sells Pokémon cards. Out of a sudden, all the forgotten sweet memories of playing Pokémon cards started to trigger my mind. So, i click on the relevant section and started browsing through the Pokémon card game section. After much hesitation, i finally bought myself 6 Pokémon theme decks. Yup, you read right...i bought SIX decks, NOT booster packs!!! But of course since i have nobody to play with, i just bought the cards for collectible purposes. Sometimes, by looking at the cards, i feel more happy and relaxed...weird hmmm, but hey, you can't blame me cause those cards were part of my life back then.

I know it's kinda wasting money but i can't help it especially since i am so addicted to online shopping nowadays. On weekdays, after coming back from class, i just feel so lazy to go out from my place and on weekends, i feel even lazier by waking up late in the morning, or should i said 'afternoon'. So, most of my shopping (except groceries & clothes) are done through online shopping such as buying books, electrical items and et cetera. Do not expect me to walk to the city centre just to get one pathetic stuff...i will usually wait till all my groceries are finished before heading out to get new ones. The reason i am feeling so lethargic is probably due to the cold weather here and also because of the exhaustion from a long tiring hours of lectures in class. Anyway, that's all for now...shall blog again once i have the free time. Cheers...

~*Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner (Part 1)*~

It's only two days away from the most awaited festival of all time which is the Chinese New Year. This year i gotta celebrate Chinese New Year all by myself with the exception of being with my housemates and also my fellow classmates. So, today three of my housemates (the other three housemates were pretty busy at that time) and myself went to have dim sum at a very classy restaurant located in the heart of Chinatown. The restaurant is very elegantly decorated with lanterns hanging all over the ceiling and beautiful paintings hanging on the walls. We managed to treat ourself to a pleasant meal at this restaurant since it's gonna be Chinese New Year soon. As you can see from the pictures above, the portion of the dim sum we ordered were quite big compared to those we had in Penang. As for the taste, it's quite similar with those in Penang except for the Pai Kut here is absolutely mouth-watering. After meal, we went over to the Chinese supermarket for some last minute shopping to get some foodstuffs as we planned to organise an unforgettable dinner on Chinese New Year day. As for tomorrow which is Chinese New Year eve, my classmates invited me over to their place for steamboat...hmmm, having steamboat is perfectly suitable especially during winter. The weather should get warmer knowing that winter is coming to an end but i don't know why is it still co cold...shitty strong & chilling wind from the North Sea!!! How i wish i could be in Penang right now celebrating Chinese New Year with my family, relatives, friends and not forgetting my baby doggy. Anyway, that's all for now. This is just a very short post...shall blog again after Chinese New Year. Until then, take care.
P.S. Wishing everyone a Happy & Prosperous Chinese New Year 2008.
