~*In This Moment*~

Hey folks, sorry for not updating my blog for a very long time...i was extremely busy throughout the past few weeks. I gotta submit all my courseworks last week and now, i am sitting for my finals exam which starts from today. Civil liberties exam today was kinda tough...i didn't have the time to complete all the questions. Well, perhaps there's just too much to write and all i could do is to pray hard that everything will go smoothly. I guess my fluency and proficiency in English language does benefit me especially in the legal field. I am so glad that i never attended Chinese school...i have no regrets or whatsoever by not taking the initiative to learn Mandarin or Cantonese because my proficiency in English can definitely bring me to greater heights compared to the two aforementioned languages. I am not condemning Mandarin language or Cantonese dialect...all i am trying to say is that it's not so necessary for me to learn it as of yet. Take Justin and Yong Ming for example...they can't communicate in Mandarin (perhaps they should know a lil' Cantonese) but their proficiency as well as fluency in English language is fanstastic!! Not everybody can have the best of both worlds...there's a saying that 'in order to excel in one aspect of life, you gotta give up the least important one'. Imagine if i would to be fluent and competent in Mandarin and completely blunt when it comes to English language. It will of course be a barrier for me since i am currently studying in the UK where English is the main source of language...well, not only in the UK but all around the world!! Perhaps in the distant future i might consider learning Mandarin but i don't think it will be anytime soon...i wanna learn up Italian and German language first and possibly Frence too!! Besides that, to study for a Law degree, a person should possess a good command of English. Having to read all those Law books without understanding the facts of the case and the judgment made by the courts are just plain useless.

Ok ok, enough crapping on this issue...let's get back to my Civil Liberties exam today. There were approximately 150 students sitting for the exams and there were only 3 Asians in the entire exam hall, including me. All those "ang moh kias" especially the guys LOVES going to the loo so damn much...they got up from their one sit one after another during the exam and went straight ahead to the loo. Hmmm, i wonder what is so interesting?? Could there be some answer scripts hidden beneath the toilet bowls?? If i have some extra time to spare, for sure i will pay a visit to the loo too, hehehe!! I seriously did not regret choosing Civil Liberties as one of my core subject. It emphasises more on the rights and freedom which should are enjoyed by the UK citizens. Among the topics convered under Civil Liberties are human rights, miscarriages of justice, the right to privacy, the right to a fair trial, obscenity in the eyes of the law, the prevention of terrorism in the modern era and et cetera. It's kinda interesting and it broadens my knowledge in this specific area of the law which is deemed to be very important in people's daily life.

You know...something struck my head a few hours before i sit for my exam. Suddenly, my mind, heart and soul asked me NOT to leave UK anytime soon and continue staying here until i am sick and bored of this place. I am just afraid that if i ever return back to Malaysia (for good, i mean), i might regret those actions before thinking in depth about it!! I am starting to get use to the environment and lifestyle here in the UK (i know it takes me such a long long time)...and also, i am making more new friends from all over the place. I can learn about their culture and their way of living. However, if i were to go back, all that is GONE!! Before this, it's my father who forced me to continue my Masters in Law here in the UK and i was so against the idea of coming back to this dreadful place...but now things has changed. I am MORE than willing to continue staying here to further pursue my Masters in Law. I don't what wrong with me but i think i am starting to have some feelings towards life in the UK. Of course i do miss my parents, my lovely baby dog, my relatives and my close friends too but i guess living here by myself trains me to be a more independent person instead of having to rely on my maid all the time. Oh yeah, not forgetting that i really really do miss Malaysian food...i wanna eat Laksa, Wantan Mee, Char Hor Fun, Fried Oyster, Bak Kut Teh, Dim Sum, Chicken Rice, Claypot Chicken Rice, Economy Beehoon, Nasi Kandar, Chendul, Ice Kachang and much much more!!!!!

Arrgghh, enough ranting for now...gotta continue studying for my Family Law exam on this coming friday. Until then, take care and bye!!

P.S. Despite the tight schedule for my exams, i still managed to find some time to watch the finale episode of American Idol Season 7. It was a clear scenario that the cuter and more talented David Archuleta had dominated the night with his amazing vocals and great looks. Well, let's all hope that he will be the winner of this season's American Idol. Thanks Itch for recommending me the "Surf the Channel" website. At least now i can watch the full length performance of the show instead of having to watch clips of it on YouTube. David Archuleat so deserves to win this competition. David Cook is great too but i think David Archuleta would make a better Idol compared to David Cook!! Anyway, let's just wait till results are out when the new American Idol will be crowned...

Update: David Cook is the winner of American Idol Season 7...oh well, it's just too bad for David Archuleta because he really is the better singer!! Congrats to Cookies anyway...hopefully Archuleta will outsell Cookies when both of their albums are out somewhere later in the year.

~*Mariah, Mariah, Mariah*~

Omigowd…I am so in lurve with Mariah Carey’s new album, E=MC². I gotta admit that this is her best album so far. I practically love each and every single track from this album. I have never liked ALL the songs from an album before (with the exception of Gwen Stefani’s debut & sophomore albums). Mariah Carey is like my second favourite artist right now, after Gwen Stefani of course (nobody could ever replace Gwen Stefani, i.e. she's irreplaceable). I am so gonna buy Mariah’s new album when it’s out…oh, wait a minute…isn’t yesterday the released date of her album here in the UK which is on the 14th of April. Gosh, I gotta go and grab that album as soon as I have the free time to do so. The best songs from E=MC² has gotta be Migrate, Touch My Body, Cruise Control, I Stay In Love, Side Effects, I’m That Chick, O.O.C. & Bye Bye. The other tracks not mentioned here are kinda great too. However, if I am given only one choice to pick my favourite track from this album, I would definitely choose Side Effects featuring Young Jeezy. This song is very infectious…the more I listen to it, the more I am in love with it!! There’s a tie between my second favourite track from this album…and that’s between I Stay in Love & Bye Bye…both this power ballads are AMAZING & FANTASTIC (no words can describe the awesomeness of both of this songs). They are way better than We Belong Together, from her previous album…The Emancipation of Mimi. Listening to the songs in this album really helps me to concentrate better in my 3 courseworks which are due in early May…yes, I am serious here, no jokes or whatsoever!! It kinda gives me the inspiration to work my ass off…arrrghhh…someone help me…I am so addicted to this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~*An Unforgettable Holiday Experience*~

Hey guys...sorry for the lack of update. I just came back from my awesome & fantastic trip to Italy & France. I gotta admit that Italy is the best damn place in the entire universe. From the moment i arrived Italy, i fell in LOVE with it immediately. My friends & myself visited Rome, Florence, Pisa, Vatican City & Venice in Italy...and my favourite has gotta be Rome, followed by Venice. I will definitely return back to Italy after my final exams...i wanna explore the whole of Italy including Milan (the famous fashion capital), Sicily, Verona, Bologna & not forgetting Naples too. As for France, we only managed to visit Paris due to time constrain...this was my second time to Paris...my first time being in Paris was in 2002. Anyway, i shall post all the pictures within the next few days. I took more than a thousand pictures throughout my trip but i am only gonna post the ones which i think is interesting...can't post it now because i am feeling so exhausted. Wait for my next post!!!
