~*Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!*~

This morning i woke up very early to accompany my housemate to the post office to post some things back to her family & friends in her country. When we left our place, it was raining very heavily (raining heavily here means just normal drizzle back in Malaysia) and the weather was super duper cold. So, we walked under the so-called "heavy rain" all the way to the post office and i was already freezing due to the extremely cold weather. A surprise stumbled upon us when we arrived at the post office. From the post office's window, i could see white snowflakes falling from the sky...yippies, it's snowing!!! Initially, it was just mild snowflakes falling but as time passes by, the snowflakes eventually evolved and turned heavier...too bad it's not heavy enough to turn the whole place white, damn!!!

After being miserable (due to missing home) for the past few days eversince i came back from Malaysia, seeing the snow actually helps brighten up my mood although this is my second time experiencing snow in UK. The first time i experienced it was way back in early December before i went back to Malaysia. However, the first time i saw the snow, it was very mild and didn't lasts long before it went into complete disappearance. This time, the snow was well...more worth it to be recorded in my mobile phone. Anyway, just see the video below...it was taken after i came back from the post office...it's the view from outside my room.

Play the video below to see some live-action snow:

Ok, some of my friends have posted up their review on their new semester or should i said their new year and i guess i should also do the same. Well, my second semester here in my university is just alright except for the fact that i have lecture classes everyday from Mondays to Fridays. Oh, it's so unfair that some of my other friends have only 3 days class per week...it's all because of the difference in the scheduling of our timetable. I only got 1 new subject this semester called 'Jurisprudence' and this subject has the ability to drive people nuts...some of my friends who took this subject in the 1st semester (we have the option to take it either in the 1st semester or 2nd semester) said it's totally disastrous as it is so difficult to understand and also very confusing. My only hope is that those of my classmates who have taken this subject will teach me whenever i needed help. Apart from that, everything else is just fine. By the way, i can't wait to get hold of my magazine which will be delivered all the way from Aussie. Anyway, that's all for now. Until then, take care & have a nice day... =) =)

~*Cloverfield*~

The Official Theatrical Poster

I just can't wait to watch this awesome movie called 'Cloverfield'. This is the most awaited movie everyone is talking about...this movie has already been released in other parts of the world and will only be release in UK on the 1st of February. Gosh, i gotta wait for such a long time and it definitely sucks to wait!!! Cloverfield is currently the number one movie in the United States box office grossing $41,000,000 on its opening weekend, making it the most successful January release gross of all time. Isn't that spectacular? Hopefully this movie is worth the wait...for those of you who have watched it, please do let me know what are your views. Thanks.

You can watch the official trailer of this movie below:

~*Finally*~

After a very long hiatus, i am finally updating my blog once again...the last time i updated this blog was on the 19th of October last year. Since then, i've been pretty busy (with all my damn courseworks) and also being lazy at the same time. What's up with me lately? Well, i spent the best time of my life back in Malaysia from the 7th of December 2007 till the 14th of January 2008. Time passes really fast because in a blink of an eye, i am finally back here in UK. For your information, i've been crying (literally) because i miss parents, my little doggy and also my close friends back in Malaysia. Life here in UK and life back in Malaysia is totally different from one another. Back home, i don't have to prepare my own meals, i don't have to wash up my plates after eating, i don't have to do laundry and et cetera. Here, i have to do everything from A-Z and it's making me go crazy. Studies here is also so tensed up, so much assigments to do, so many things to read and also so many seminars to attend. Such things keep me very busy until i don't have the time to go out with my classmates and my housemates so often anymore. For those of you who know me well enough, i am the sort of person who likes hanging out with my buddies such as watching movie together or even going out shopping together. Besides that, the extremely cold weather here is also killing me slowly...errgghh, i just hate the damn weather. The sky is always cloudy and gloomy looking...i need more sunlight please!!! I really just can't wait till i graduate later this year so that i can return back home...i really can't take it anymore here...someone please help me. I know when i first reach here last September, i kinda like the environment and also the people here (especially the enormous amount of eye-candies). I also remembered planning of settling down here (that's if i managed to find my true love partner, hehehe!!!) but all i want now is to go home to be with my family, my dog and my friends. Truthfully speaking, there's nothing wrong with life here in UK, it's just that i miss home so much at this point of my life. Eversince i arrived back here the day before yesterday (which was a Monday), i keep thinking of home...i wanna go home...home...home is the place i wanna be right now.

Anyway, back in Penang during my 5 weeks break, i managed to meet up with my best friends (thank God they are having holidays during that time). We went eating and eating non-stop, watching movies, shopping and also chatting endlessly about our life. Ahhh, i miss those moments so much. Hmmm, what else did i do? Oh yeah, besides spending quality time with my family, i also managed to help my aunt to move into her new condominium along Kelawei Road. Although i did not help to do all the heavy works such as painting the walls, scrubbing the floor and cleaning the windows, but at least i did carry the furnitures from her old place to her new place. I also took my aunt shopping for new lightings and also some other new furnitures which she wanted for her new place. I gotta admit that the view from her unit is just splendid...because her unit is facing the sea and it's on the 18th floor...the cool air is just so calming. But i guess the best moment i had when i was back in Malaysia is to stay at home with my parents and playing my with my cute little doggy...lazing around at home...staring blankly at the sky...and enjoying proper homecook food. As a few friends had advised me, it would only be a few more months before i am finally graduating and then, i get to return back to my lovely country once and for all. But who knows what the future holds for us...i might change my mind and plan to work here in UK just like one of my dearest friend, whom i miss so much...it's been so long since i last met you...when wanna let me come visit you? But most probably i will just return back home so that i can be with my family and friends...and not forgetting my little doggy too.

I am so looking forward towards my long holiday during Easter break...planning to travel to Los Angeles with my housemates...hopefully the plan will materialise and will not vanish into thin air or i will be so dissappointed. My dream eversince i was so small is to travel to the United States of America (Los Angeles to be precise, in hope of catching a real glimpse of celebrities especially my favourite idol of all time, Gwen Stefani) but it ain't that easy to identify a celebrity even if they are walking just beside you because they are damn good in making-up and disguising themselves...sigh...that's just all a dream...a dream i wish would come true this coming March...hopefully...fingers crossed.

That's all for now...hopefully this post is long enough to keep my beloved readers satisfied. From now onwards, i will try to update my blog more frequently and will not let it rot like it used to. Until then, see you...cheers...bye!!!

~*Pictures, Pictures & More Pictures*~

Pictures below: My university, Northumbria University

I know it's been a long time since i last updated my blog...this week has been pretty hectic since i have so many seminars to attend and besides that, i have gotta prepare for those seminars. I heard that some of the lecturers here are quite strict when it comes to seminars and all students are expected to do lots of research and be prepared to answer questions during the seminars. If a student can't answer certain questions or refuses to give his opinions, the lecturer could ask that student to leave the class since he is unprepared and that's very humiliating. So, i gotta do lots of research and staying up tll late at night in the library as the library opens from 8am till 12 midnight. After 12 midnight, i will just go over to Pandon Building where there's a 24 hours computer study area to continue doing my research. For the past two days, i've been there till 3am in order for me to complete my seminars questions and that's the reason why i could not update my blog since blogging will take quite some time. Anyway, i've bought my own camera and i did take some beautiful pictures as can be seen above. Okie...gotta go already...shall blog again some other time because as for now, there's more work to be done. Bye!!!

~*Beyonce Cancels Kuala Lumpur Show*~

Omigowd...Beyoncé Knowles is cancelling her debut performance in Kuala Lumpur on the 1st of November and instead she will perform in Jakarta. According to Yahoo! News, Beyoncé Knowles was reluctant to fulfill the Malaysian government's demand for female performers to cover up from the top of their chests to their knees, including their shoulders. The same thing happened to Gwen Stefani two months ago but at least Gwen was sporting enough to accept the demand made by Malaysian government. Alvin, i guess your dream of seeing her perform in Kuala Lumpur has been shattered into million of pieces...don't be sad, there's always a second chance where you will get to see her perform in the future. Luckily i am not a big fan of Beyoncé Knowles...although i do like some of her songs. I guess fans of Beyoncé Knowles from around Malaysia have been so dissappointed and devastated upon hearing the news that she will be cancelling her Kuala Lumpur show. Anyway, just read the article below which i have copied and pasted from Yahoo! News:-

"Beyonce Knowles has scrapped plans to stage her first concert in Malaysia and will instead perform in neighboring Indonesia, which has less stringent rules about how performers should dress and behave.

'The announcement followed recent speculation that Knowles — who is famous for her sexy image and skimpy outfits — was reluctant to fulfill the Malaysian government's demand for female performers to cover up from the top of their chests to their knees, including their shoulders.

International Creative Management, her Los Angeles-based talent agency, said Knowles' Nov. 1 date in Kuala Lumpur was canceled "due to a scheduling conflict."

"It is with regret that we announce the cancellation of The Beyonce Experience World Tour in Kuala Lumpur," said the statement, which was made available Monday by Malaysian entertainment organizers Pineapple Concerts. "It was to mark the very first time the performer would bring her show to Malaysia."

Knowles, 26, will perform in Jakarta on Nov. 1.

Pineapple Concerts Chairman Razlan Ahmad Razali said his company, which has brought Western acts such as Kanye West and Earth, Wind and Fire to Malaysia, was "disappointed and frustrated."

"Though Indonesia is also a Muslim country, it doesn't have all these issues that we have," Razlan told The Associated Press. "She can perform as she likes there."

Concert promoters have said Western performers face mounting pressure in Malaysia to keep skimpy clothes and steamy dance moves off the stage amid protests by conservative Muslims who believe liberal Western performances can corrupt young people.

Gwen Stefani made what she called "a major sacrifice" in August by wearing clothes that revealed little skin at a Kuala Lumpur stadium concert after Muslim students and activists called for the performance to be canceled due to the singer's sultry reputation."

~*Life Goes On*~

Life here in UK have been pretty bizarre lately...strange things seem to happen to me and i am definitely not enjoying it...although for some few special occasions. Anyway, i get to see who my real friends are...those friends whom i have been relying upon during my 2nd year in college turns out to be jerks. Instead, those friends whom i am not close to during my days in college turns out to be really nice to me. Whenever, i am in need especially when i am crying over my dog, they will always lend me their shoulder...and yes, i still cry almost everyday whenever i think of my parents, my lovely dog and not forgetting my best pals back in Penang and those in KL too. Oh yeah, and there's one in Brisbane and another who is staying so close to me, in Manchester. By the way, thanks Yong Ming for calling me to calm me down when i was actually crying at that moment. True friends like them are extremely hard to find...and i do cherish our friendship a lot...i wish you guys are here with me. My friends here in UK are great but it's hard to trust them 100%...the most i can trust them is like 85%. It's hard to predict when they could turn behind your back and stab you without you knowing. For example, a close friend of mine was betrayed by another friend and he's feeling so dissappointed and sad for always believing her. Having warned him many times to be aware of this girl, he still treats her so well and put too much faith in her...and in the end, that's what the consequences is about. I really pity him but he should have listen to me earlier and he wouldn't have to regret now because it's already too late. But then, i will always support him no matter what happens because friendship plays a really important thing in my life. I really thank God for providing me with such incredible and wonderful friends back in Malaysia whom i know i can always trust. Our friendship will last till the very end...missing you guys so so much. I do agree with a close of mine who said that as time passes by, we get parted further and further away from each other. Who knows what the future holds for us...we can't predict what will happen in the next phase of our life...we might ended up getting married and have our own family and et cetera. I still remember when we were young...we used to said that we will go to the same university and stay at the same house when we are old one day and yes, it does seems more and more far-fetched day by day. How i wish we could still have as much fun as we used to had during our teenage life...doing all those crazy stuffs which are sometimes deemed to be illegal. We know that we will soon go our different ways one day but who knew it would be that soon...time really flies by quickly...in an blink of an eye, i've been in UK for more than two weeks already. Hopefully next time when we get married (if that really happens), we will still keep in contact with each other. As for me, i guess i will be staying here for approximately 3 years...1 year (which is this year) to finish my final year of degree, 1 year to do my Masters and another year to find a job here...and who knows, i might eventually settle down in UK if have i found myself a suitable partner whom will take great care of me...hahaha!!! The only thing i miss most about Malaysia are my parents, my dog, my friends and definitely the food there...oh, how i miss the fried koay teow, fried rice, laksa, hokkien mee, curry mee, wantan mee, char hor fun, chee cheong fun, jawa mee and many many more. Besides my friend's cooking (by the way, who is a good cook), I've been eating fast food such as McDonald's, KFC and Burger King nearly everyday since i've been here...errgh, i am so sick of all those of food...i need proper meals...and for the past few days, my friend have been so lazy to cook because she gets exhausted so easily after cooking for so many people...have some sympathy on her. I've been putting on so much weight due to the lack of exercise...no gyming here cause the membership fees is so bloody expensive...can't even go jogging because it's so cold. My studies have been quite smooth too except that i have classes everyday from Mondays to Fridays...back in my college, i only have 3 days class. Luckily my campus is located very near to my place...about less than 5 minutes walk. The weather here have gone mad lately, it's just autumn and the temperature here is freezing cold. I have to wear thick layers of clothes and i definitely look like a big furry ball...anyone wanna cuddle me? I will definitely go crazy by the time winter comes...anyway, i gotta stop bogging for now. Shall blog again soon...take care guys...bye!!!

~*I Am In Love With My University*~

Everything here in my university is computerised. If you wanna reload your mobile phone, all you need to do is go to the vending machine and purchase your reload coupon from the vending machine...which save you lots of time and hassle then to go to the phone shop or convenient store just to purchase a reload coupon. Besides that, borrowing books from the library is also computerised...how cool is that? It's awesome...you can borrow up to 7 books per person for a full one month although there are some books which you can only borrow for 7 days. When you wanna borrow a certain book, all you need to do is to go to the machine, scan your student card and lastly, scan the barcode attached to the book and it's done...there's no need to line up to borrow books from the counter or whatever stupid shit! Back at my previous college in Malaysia, whenever i wanna borrow a book, i have to take the book to the counter and the library lady will have to stamp the date of return and we are only allowed to borrow 1 or 2 books for a maximum of 2-3 days per time. Not only that, the library here in my university is extremely huge...it has a total of 6 floors and there are also 6 elevators leading to all the floors. It's many many many times bigger compared to the public library in Penang. The best thing is that each book has about more than 10 copies each...so that students don't have to fight to get hold of a certain book. All sorts of registration or enrolment is done through online registration...no stupid old-fashion way of filling up forms. Oh yeah, all our assignment are to be received through online from our own webpage or better known as the "eLearning Portal". All students have their own webpage where the lecturers can communicate with. The technology here is super awesome...super cool...super fabulous. The food here in the university cafeteria serves one of the most delicious food ever and it's quite cheap too. There's even a Starbucks coffeehouse inside the cafeteria...fantastico. I am so madly in love with the advance technology here in UK...especially the technology of my university. Northumbria University which i am studying at is currently leading the way in Information Technology (IT) after being named the UK’s ‘Most IT-Enabled Organisation’. Anyway, enough blogging already...i gotta go get some sleep because i have class at 9am tomorrow morning...bye!!!
